As we begin Advent we naturally think of the coming of Christ. Today's First Reading is echoed .Let us walk in the light of the Lord. The First Sunday of Advent is focused on the final coming of Christ at the end of life. There may be sadness, loneliness, even fear at the prospect of dying. But when we walk in the light of the Lord, all darkness gives way to the joy of being with the Lord. Jerusalem means the City of Shalom, the place of peace. God's peace is the tranquility in which justice prevails and everything fits into place. The journey of life is destined for the city and house of God. Let us rejoice on the road to God'.
