"Anois teacht an Earraigh beidh an lá ag dul chun síneadh. Is tar éis na Féile Bríde, árdóidh mé mo sheol." These lovely words are from a song which was penned many years ago. It tells of a poet who wandered the highways and byways of Ireland. It recognises the religious Feast of St. Brigid as the beginning of Spring and the start of his journeys after the winter. Have you noticed the days getting longer? Soon we shall put the clocks forward and have even more daylight hours. See if anyone belonging to you knows the poem.
