Twenty-Eighth Sunday in Ordinary Time - October 15, 2000
When we call ourselves Christians we mean that we are followers of Our Lord, Jesus Christ and that we want to live our lives according to His Law of Love. The Law of Love is that we are to love God with our whole mind and our whole heart and our whole soul and to love our neighbour as ourselves. Our neighbour is not just the person next door, but all people all over the world near and far. It is not an easy job to do but it is well worth doing. Father, I thank you for reminding me of what I am to do. Grant that I may always pray for the gift of wisdom and put it into practise in my dealings with my neighbours.
